Hot Fudge Sauce
Pour over brownies, ice cream, or anything else you like!
Ingredients
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/3 cup brown sugar (packed)
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
6 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate (finely chopped or chips)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
Combine the base ingredients:
In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, corn syrup, brown sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
Heat and simmer:
Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring frequently.
Melt the chocolate:
Reduce heat to low and add the chocolate. Stir until fully melted and smooth.
Add butter and vanilla:
Remove from heat and stir in the butter and vanilla extract until glossy.
Reheat gently in the microwave or stovetop.
