Blue Cheese Dressing
This yummy dressing combines rich, creamy textures with bold, tangy flavors. It can be used on salads, as a dip, or even as a topping for burgers and steaks. Perfect to go with Buffalo Chicken Wings!
Ingredients
1 cup blue cheese, crumbled
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup buttermilk (you can substitute with milk and vinegar if needed)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 clove garlic, finely minced or grated
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
A dash of Worcestershire sauce
Directions
In a medium bowl, whisk together the sour cream, mayonnaise, and 1/4 cup of the buttermilk.
Add the garlic, garlic powder, lemon juice, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until well combined.
Fold in the crumbled blue cheese.
If the dressing is too thick, add more buttermilk, a tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.
Adjust seasoning to taste, adding more salt or pepper if necessary.
For a chunkier texture, use larger pieces of blue cheese.
Let the dressing sit in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
Store the dressing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
