Ingredients
1 cup pastina (tiny pasta)
4 cups chicken or vegetable broth (you can also use water)

Directions
Cook the Pastina:
In a medium saucepan, bring the chicken or vegetable broth to a boil.
Add the pastina to the boiling broth and reduce the heat to a simmer.
Cook the pastina according to the package instructions, usually about 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender.
Finish the Dish:
Once the pastina is cooked, remove the saucepan from the heat.
Stir in the butter until it melts and is well combined.
Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and incorporated.
Season:
Taste and add salt and pepper as needed.
If desired, sprinkle with fresh herbs like parsley or basil for extra flavor.
Serve:
Serve the pastina hot in bowls. You can add a little more grated Parmesan on top if you like.
